                     elson Mandela University produces achievers,
                     both well-known and unsung. We have seen
                     thousands of graduates cross our campus
           Nthreshold, poised to make their mark on the
            world and proudly bearing the torch of our namesake. On 23
            March this year, we honoured eight of our most successful
            graduates at the annual Alumni Awards ceremony.
               It was a memorable night of reunions and rewards at the
            Madibaz  Sports  Centre,  bringing  together  alumni  leaders
            past and present in a joyous reminder of our institution’s rich
            heritage of success, rooted in being of service to society.







            Ziyanda Ntshona








               LLB, Nelson Mandela University; LLM and MBA, African
               Leadership University

            A legal eagle with a philanthropic passion for people, law
            expert Ntshona is blazing a trail through corporate South Africa
            while driving upliftment for the country’s most vulnerable.
               The Webber Wentzel corporate partner was named 2023
            Up-and-Coming Lawyer of the Year at the Chambers Africa
            Awards, is a 2019 Woman Professional of the Year recipient
            and co-led the team  that assisted ABSA Bank  Limited in  its
            acquisitions from Barclays Bank PLC – a move awarded 2013’s
            “Deal of the Year” by DealMakers.
               Ntshona’s philanthropic projects include a non-executive
            directorship of the Kolisi Foundation and board membership of
            Ubuntu Pathways, a Gqeberha NPO supporting orphaned and
            vulnerable children.
